MOSAIC Adds Jennifer Reed |
MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] welcomes Remodeling Consultant Jennifer Reed, CKD, CBD. The industry veteran has spent the majority of her career doing independent design work as well as account management for several design/build remodeling contractors. She also spent five years working as an independent representative for manufactured cabinetry and three years as a regional sales manager for a manufacturer of architectural wood embellishments.
The Alpharetta resident is active in the local chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Jennifer is married and has two children.

Home Remodeling Trumps Moving |
With the exception of Millenials, the majority of U.S. homeowners who are remodeling plan to stay in their home for the long term, according to a recent Houzz survey. Those who report a significantly improved local housing market are more than twice as likely to be remodeling than they are to move in the next two years.
Bathrooms and kitchens are the most popular renovation projects again this year, with 26 percent of respondents planning a bathroom remodel or addition, and 22 percent planning a kitchen remodel or addition in the next two years.

Quirky Kitchen Featured in K+BB Magazine

For this active family, MOSAIC Group expanded the original kitchen space into an adjacent sitting room, which meant knocking down a wall, multiple load calculations and the addition of some steel columns.
A banquette was incorporated into one corner of the space. The working kitchen occupies the expanded rectangular footprint, and the pantry and some working space were tucked into the short leg of the original "L" space.

Malena Shipley won the Super Stock Division in the recent Dunwoody-NE Georgia Soap Box Derby, earning her and the MOSAIC Group car a trip to the national race in Akron, Ohio. Congratulations!

Is a Home Bar in Your Future?

When this couple decided to open up the living room and kitchen in their Sandy Springs home, a home bar was part of the plan.
For help, they worked with Rick Goldstein, co-owner of the MOSAIC Group, to design and create a less formal, more functional space to relax and entertain.
