The winning design included eliminating and relocating walls to open the space and create better flow. A smaller bedroom and fireplace were removed to allow us to build a beautiful, temperature-controlled wine room to house the owner’s prized West Coast and Italian collection. The media room was upgraded to a casual home theater environment and the former bar was expanded with an island, bar seating and a suite of appliances. The bathroom was completely gutted and remodeled with clean, contemporary lines and fixtures. Finally, our interior designer was able to select materials and finishes to echo the main floor conversion. And now the Terrace Level is an orphan no longer, used frequently for relaxation and entertaining.
