Q: What’s your advice for surviving a kitchen renovation?
A: You’ll temporarily lose an important room in your home. Think about what you’ll use as a makeshift kitchen (i.e. microwave, toaster oven, refrigeration, coffeemaker). It’s like setting up a dorm room kitchenette. Make sure you have the bare necessities. Be creative with your meals, and do a little prep work before your old kitchen is gone. Make freezeable meals and soups that you can grab and warm up when needed. Use your slow cooker and grill. There are several apps and websites that have ‘modernized’ recipes for slow cookers.
