Two sets of twins were the main reason these Atlanta homeowners dreamed of remodeling their outdated kitchen. They wanted to create a family-friendly, open kitchen that offered plenty of organized storage. The existing kitchen was a cramped and isolated space with very little natural light, so the MOSAIC Indoor Living team incorporated a small, 60-square-foot addition to the space, allowing for a mudroom and for the kitchen to be opened to the rest of the home, becoming the new “hub of the house.” An entire wall of windows and French doors now look out onto the yard where the children like to play. The mudroom, a new pantry and plenty of cabinet space help to keep this busy family organized and efficient. This project recently won a national Chrysalis Award for remodeling excellence.
