The Challenge
Could our designers and remodelers really pull this off: Take a very funky 1920s-era basement with its adjacent drive-in garage… and create an art studio/workout room, a spa bath, a clean laundry room and a happy 60th birthday wine cellar for an Atlanta homeowner?
The Solution
It was a little like remodeling the Catacombs — but a design mixture of making new and highlighting old resulted in one of our most interesting projects in many years. Exposed brick and steel joists, stained concrete floors and a floating staircase … the space is almost magical!
