The Challenge
This Sandy Springs house sits on a large lot, most of it in the front, and what is available in the rear is challenging to work with by virtue of shape and grade. The tie-in to the home was especially daunting due to existing rooflines and exterior finishes. The family loves the Atlanta outdoors and were ready to have the amenities to enjoy it.
The Solution
Combining the creativity of an architect and landscape architect, a spacious and inviting porch tucks in to connect with the family room. Ipe flooring, a wood-burning stone fireplace and an outdoor kitchen are some of the features that make this room a go-to haven, and the icing on the cake is the re-landscaping of the yard to complement the porch.
