The Challenge
This started as every homeowner’s nightmare: A previously hired Atlanta contractor did such a poor job building a deck, arches and under-deck ceiling that the entire structure had to be dismantled, re-engineered and reconstructed for this Duluth homeowner.
The Solution
The magnificent curved stairway is reminiscent of “Gone With the Wind” and adds a touch of Southern charm, even if its placement wasn’t so genteel. It took an extraordinary feat to crane the stairs over the house during installation. The flagstone patio flows beautifully from under the deck into the backyard, beckoning friends and family to enjoy the grounds. The brick arches complement the home as a well-integrated architectural feature.
