The Challenge

At a quick glance, this home looked just fine.  But upon closer inspection, everywhere you looked revealed a previous remodel that was both dated and poorly constructed.  This home needed a facelift both inside and out.  The spaces were generally functional, but seriously lacked inspiration, modern amenities and finishes commensurate with a home in this intown neighborhood.  The backyard had a nice pool, but the overall yard lacked a proper shade structure and any grassy area for the kids to play.  The entire backyard needed a true makeover.

The Solution

After much consideration and consternation, instead of moving from their much-loved home and neighborhood, this family decided to remodel their existing house to create their dream home.  Our client had a vision, and we helped them bring it to life. The focus was on the most important spaces in their home, their Kitchen, Primary Bath and Backyard.  All three spaces were transformed from blah to simply elegant.  From the arched top metal windows to the marble countertops and custom cabinetry in the Kitchen to the bright spacious Primary Bath with loads of custom details, including the exquisite shower and soaking tub. All of the details were designed and created with painstaking craftsmanship.  The Primary Closet footprint was expanded with a small addition and outfitted with with a custom closet system.  The backyard makeover included new boulder retaining walls, a level grass area for free play, a pool house with a fireplace and bathroom, a fully outfitted outdoor kitchen and a dedicated fire pit area.  All of this was designed and implemented in unison with our landscape architect partner.
